Teacher Grants
The Albertville City Schools Foundation (ASCF) fuels innovative classroom and school projects that spark curiosity and inspire young minds—going beyond what traditional school budgets can cover. As committed partners in our community’s success, we step in to help tackle challenges that might otherwise feel out of reach. We encourage our teachers to dream big!
All community contributions to the ASCF stay right here at home, guided by a board made up of local friends, neighbors, parents and supporters who understand our schools’ needs firsthand. Since 2002, the ACS Foundation has brought generous donors together to combine their tax-deductible gifts, creating a powerful impact on educational excellence throughout Albertville.
Application Process
Grant applications open on January 5, 2026, and are due March 5, 2026, by noon. Applications submitted after the deadline cannot be considered. Applications must be submitted online only.
To apply, please use your district email address and complete this grant application. Once submitted, your request will move through a two-step approval process. First, your principal will review and either approve or deny the proposal. Please discuss your proposal with your principal before applying. Approved applications will then move to the grant committee, which reviews them anonymously. You will be notified by email about funding decisions on March 20, 2026.
All awarded funds must be spent by August 1, 2026. A brief outcome report and a thank-you message to donors are due by December 1, 2026. Including photos and student thank-you notes is highly encouraged—these personal touches help show the impact of your project and express genuine appreciation to our supporters.
A committee of ACSF board members and central office representatives will evaluate all requests. They may contact applicants for additional information if needed. Based on available funding, the committee will make recommendations to the ASCF board, which may adjust the recommendations as it sees fit before making final decisions.
If a grant recipient changes positions within the district, grant-funded items may be eligible for transfer with principal approval. Please notify your principal immediately if you intend to move items to a new role. For questions or required documentation regarding the transfer or disposal of grant-funded items, contact the Albertville City Schools Finance Department.
Grant Eligibility and Exclusion Guidelines
- All Albertville City Schools teachers, administrators and staff are invited to submit grant applications.
- Individual classroom projects requests may be up to $2,500, and larger department mental or whole-school proposals are welcome. To streamline the process, we encourage one representative to apply on behalf of the full department or school rather than submitting multiple identical requests.
- Grants are awarded to projects that elevate teaching and expand opportunities for Albertville students.
- We prioritize ideas that are sustainable, scalable and create meaningful, lasting impact.
- We also look for projects that spark positive change and go beyond what is considered basic instructional needs typically funded through district or instructional support budgets.
- Because of ordering and fulfillment challenges, items purchased through Scholastic are not eligible for funding.
- We strive to support projects from every school so students from Pre-K through 12th grade benefit from these opportunities.
- Furniture purchases are not eligible for funding. In special circumstances, exceptions may be considered.
